Rohini Acharya has responded to reports claiming that she may become a candidate for the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). On Friday (May 29, 2026), she took to her official X account and described the reports as mere rumors.In her post, Rohini Acharya wrote, “Those with malicious intentions will be exposed once again. A group of infiltrators, conspirators, and people colluding with political opponents, along with some of their media friends, is spreading rumors that I will be a candidate in the upcoming Legislative Council elections.”She alleged that certain individuals are deliberately spreading misleading information in her name. Rohini Acharya also stated that similar rumors had previously been circulated about her and her family, which were later proven false.As of now, the RJD has not made any official announcement regarding its candidates for the upcoming Legislative Council elections.
