Kharagpur: Congress workers staged a protest in Kharagpur against the continuous rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG cylinders. During the demonstration, party leaders and workers raised slogans against inflation and demanded immediate relief for the common people.
Speaking at the protest, Congress leaders said that the burden of rising fuel and cooking gas prices is falling heavily on poor families, laborers, farmers, and the middle class. They alleged that increasing fuel costs have directly impacted household budgets and made daily life more difficult for millions of citizens.
The party leaders emphasized that Congress will continue to raise its voice on issues affecting the common people and fight against inflation, unemployment, and economic hardship. They urged the government to take concrete steps to reduce fuel prices and provide relief to citizens struggling with the rising cost of living.
Protesters also highlighted that inflation has affected essential commodities and transportation costs, putting additional pressure on ordinary households. They called for policies that prioritize public welfare and economic stability.
The demonstration was conducted peacefully in the presence of local Congress leaders and supporters. Security arrangements were in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Congress leaders reiterated their commitment to social justice and public welfare, stating that the party will continue its struggle for the rights of the people.
A shop of love will continue to thrive in the marketplace of hatred,” the leaders said, emphasizing their message of unity and harmony.
