As per the pre-announced schedule, the East Singhbhum District Committee of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) organized a Booth-Level Voter Agent Training Camp at Birsa Munda Town Hall in Sidgora, Jamshedpur, under the leadership of District President Victor Soren.
JMM Central General Secretary and Spokesperson Binod Kumar Pandey attended as the chief guest and speaker. He paid floral tributes to martyrs and party veterans, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to inaugurate the event.

Addressing booth presidents and voter agents from various blocks, panchayats, and urban units of the district, Binod Kumar Pandey stated that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is not new and has been conducted several times in the past.

He expressed concern that the current SIR process could threaten the democratic rights of vigilant voters and those opposing the policies of the central government. He alleged that eligible voters could be removed from electoral rolls and subsequently deprived of voting rights and government benefits.

Pandey urged all party-appointed booth-level voter agents to treat the SIR process as a mass movement and ensure that not a single eligible voter’s name is removed from the voter list in their respective polling booths.

Following the directions of JMM Executive President and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the party has decided that booth-level voter agents will be considered a key organizational link. Senior party leaders will remain in direct contact with them and seek feedback not only on elections but also on the implementation of government welfare schemes.

A team of technical experts accompanying the central leadership provided detailed information on the SIR process through audio-visual presentations and assured continuous assistance whenever required.
The program was attended by several senior JMM leaders, MLAs, former MPs, former MLAs, district office-bearers, panchayat representatives, booth presidents, and voter agents from across East Singhbhum district.

The event was conducted by District Vice-President Sagen Purty, while the vote of thanks was delivered by District Secretary Ratan Mahato.
